Nowadays, with so much malware online, it’s worth using a free virus and spyware scan because it can really save you from a lot of problems down the line. The age of technology has made our world much more automated and efficient in our business dealings. It has revolutionized how communication takes place between people with computers containing ways to email and instant message.

Cell phones allow not only for phone calls but to also text message people in real time and to check email from the phone itself. These aspects of technology have made life easier but not necessarily simpler.

So, without the consent or awareness of the parent performing the download, the programmer has installed spyware to track which websites the family visits.

What’s really sad is alot of computer owners that encounter this issue assume the computer is on the fritz. Sometimes programs will run really slow or it may seem that the central processing unit and the guts of the computer are running at a snail’s pace. Most computer owners assume this is a hardware issue or perhaps they installed Windows incorrectly. The need for spyware repair never enters their mind and unfortunately many assume their computer is ready for the junk heap. Most computer owners will just go out and purchase another computer with never realizing that all they needed was a reliable spyware scan. This costs many computer owners hundreds of thousands and perhaps millions of dollars in the long run. A new computer wasn’t necessary at all.

This is dishonest to a severe degree. Run times of computers can be slowed to a turtle’s pace due to the spyware. Also, it’s a major breech of privacy since someone is secretly watching the buying habits of others without their permission. This is why a spyware scan becomes necessary anytime a download is performed from a website. It is imperative that anyone who owns a computer have a means by which to do a spyware delete from their system. Some computer owners may assume they are immune to spyware because they have a firewall or virus protection. This simply is not true. A firewall and virus protection cannot perform a spyware scan. Spyware removal software is necessary to detect the insidious presence of spyware on a computer system. Just this simple step may save many computer owners from making the grave error of getting rid of perfectly good computers in the future.

Remove Dnschanger

How do i remove zlob dnschanger?

I tried spybot and adaware but neither worked. It was not even detected in either of those programs.

I only know I have the zlob dnschanger after trying several different shareware programs, I forget which ones, that detected it.

I guess I could of used those shareware programs to remove this but I cannot afford them. Furthermore, I did not realize they were shareware until after the fact. The site I downloaded them from said they were freeware.
Please help.

winlog.exe is a process which is registered as a trojan. This Trojan allows attackers to access your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.

Run your AV and AS programs. For proper removal use this removal procedure. You can use any program with this procedure. The Ewido (now AVG Antispyware) is the best trojan removal program.

Trojan Removal Procedure.

Malware is a general word for all form of Viruses, Spyware etc. This procedure works for all Malware. Replace the Ewido program with the appropriate program.

You might be unable to access the Internet after removing the Malware so you will need to run LSPfix or Winsockxpfix (as appropriate). Download one and save to desktop, run it later.

Part 1

• Temporarily show hidden files.

For Windows XP:

1.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

2.
Click Appearance and Themes, and then click Folder Options.

3.
On the View tab, under Hidden files and folders, click “Show hidden files and folders”, and clear(uncheck) the “Hide protected operating system files” check box.

For older systems:

1.
Double-click My Computer, click View, and then click Folder Options.

2.
On the View tab, under “Hidden files and folders”, click “Show hidden files and folders”, and clear (uncheck) the “Hide protected operating system files” check box.

IMPORTANT: Files are hidden by Windows for a very good reason. It is not wise to experiment with these files. Unfortunately, to successfully remove modern spyware we must turn this protection off temporarily. Please turn the protection back on when you have finished cleaning your system.

Empty your Internet Explorer cache and your other temporary file folders:

1.
On the Internet Explorer Tools menu, click Internet Options.

2.
On the General tab, in the Temporary Internet Files section, click the Delete Files button. This will delete all the files that are currently stored in your cache.

3.
Select the Delete all offline content check box in the confirmation dialogue box that appears, click OK.

4.
Click OK again.

Restart in Safe Mode:

To do this you need to hold down or repeatedly tap the F8 key while the computer is booting (when the computer is displaying a black screen with white text). When the boot menu appears, use your keyboard arrows to select “Safe Mode.”

Safe Mode can look quite ugly. The color may look bad, and all of your desktop icons will be very large. This is normal.

Start Scan and let Ewido scan the PC

When the scan and removal are completed REBOOT COMPUTER. This will restart you in normal mode.

If you are unable to access the Internet after removing Malware you will need to run LSPfix or Winsockxpfix (as appropriate).

If you are using Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) and are unable to access the Internet after removing Malware, there is a command that may fix the problem, removing the need to run Winsockxpfix. It works by resetting the winsock catalogue. Click on Start, then Run and type CMD in the dialogue box that appears. Click OK. Type “netsh winsock reset” (no quotes)into the DOS window that appears.

The last steps

If you are running Windows XP or Windows ME, and your computer has been successfully cleaned of Malware, there is one more thing that needs to be done.

Delete any old restore points and then create a new restore one. The old ones may, of course, be infected with the Malware and cannot be used.

First, start and then stop the Restore Service. This is done differently depending on what operating system you are running.

Windows XP:

1.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

2.
Click Performance and Maintenance, click System, and then click on the System Restore tab.

3.
Select the Turn Off System Restore check box, click Apply, then restart your computer.

4.
Return to the System Restore Tab and turn System Restore back on.

Windows ME:

1.
Click Start, click Control Panel, click System.

2.
Click Performance, click File System, and then click Troubleshooting.

3.
Enable the option Disable System Restore, click Apply then restart your computer.

4.
Return to the Troubleshooting tab and turn System Restore back on.

To set a manual restore point complete the following steps:

1.
Click the Start button.

2.
Point to Programs, then navigate to Accessories, then System Tools, then click System Restore.

3.
Choose Create a restore point, and then click Next.

4.
In the Restore point description box, type a name for your restore point, and then click Next.

5.
Click OK.

Getting rid of Trojan virus on Windows XP?

My brother has the Trojan virus on his laptop, which is Windows XP. It says “Spyware Alert!” and he has 34 serious threats. He doesn’t have the full spyware thing, because we didn’t buy the full version. Because of this, he can only see which viruses he has, but he can’t remove them. When we click on the windows security box that pops up, it goes to the internet, but the laptop can’t connect to the internet because the laptop blocked it out due to the viruses. Help please D:

Download a free copy of Malwarebytes from http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php on another computer and transfer it to the laptop with a USB drive or even burn it to CD and install it. Run a quick scan with it and remove anything it finds.

Well what your going to have to do is go and delete everyone of them individually by using the documents folder one thing you do not want to do though is open the file containing the virus just right click and delete if that doesn’t work then its probable not going to get fixed.Next time get McAfee it cost more for a computer then it does a program

For a specific solution to this problem, download malwarebytes antimalware. I’ve never personally seen Windows Repair, but I’ve seen several instances of this particular trojan in the form of Windows XP Antivirus 2009 etc.

Use safe mode with networking to install and update malwarebytes. Run it, problem solved.

You are talking forensics that may be too much of a learning curve. I recommend the free open source Clam antivirus.

When Clam scans – the results will show broken files that may reveal the area the virus tried to or did enter. Without being an expert, in shorter terms, you are just chasing your tail with malware and what it did. The best suggestion is to install quality security shareware – the Set and Forget.

Otherwise I suggest actual online classes in this area.

I know this son of bit** type of viruses because it infected my computer and it can infect any executable file and hence the newly infected one doesn’t run and when you try to open it it infect other one and etc
Better method to scan your computer using a potent Antivirus and disable autorun on all drives because this is the main mode of transmission especially via USB memory sticks

HI Bhushan….i can help you in your problem… just follow mu words
–> first of all some how try to get the name of particular virus which had infected your executable file (commonly known as “.exe” files)….you can do it by using any antivirus program which could detect the infection(virus) ,now if you are expert in “.net” then you could mannually recognize the virus’s registry
in the registry editor..and then deleat it from there.
–> in case you are not “.net” expert then, after getting th name of virus ,google it .and it display the list of websites which shows thrick to deleat that perticular virus,…these websites also provid the tools to remove the virus….best for you will be , download the tool and then run it in the safe mode. then restart your windows and i hope you will find your infected computer cured!!!

Download Spybot Search & Destroy from www.safer-networking.org (FREE). Update it’s definitions and run a scan and clean any infections. That should fix your problem. If not run the scan in safe mode (press F8 while your computer is booting up)
